Our Worldview
Students today live in a world where truth and moral absolutes are rejected. They are confronted by a culture where image and entertainment reign supreme and the only value of knowledge is to make money. Some would ask, "What price will we pay to prepare our children to grow to be people of integrity, whose lives will have a positive impact on the world in which they live?" Perhaps a more important question is, "What price will we pay if we don't?"
In short, we are involved in a great battle! Covenant Christian High School is dedicated to helping young men and women establish a Christian understanding of life that gives them purpose and moral direction. Our hope is that Covenant students will be fully prepared to impact their world. Being convinced that a Christian understanding of the world is the best explanation of reality, we are committed to equipping students to view life through the lens of Biblical truth.
The Great Questions of Man
Each class at Covenant flows from a philosophical exploration of one or more of these questions.
- Does God exist?
- What is God like?
- What does God expect of me?
- How can we really know anything?
- Is there an absolute right and wrong?
- Who am I?
- What is my purpose of being here?
- What happens when we die?
- How do we define beauty?
- Does history have any meaning?
"I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen, not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else."
~ C.S. Lewis
