Academic Resources

Student Resource Time (SRT)

Student Rource Time (SRT) is an important facet of Covenant's learning culture and college preparatory design: moving students into creativity and independence. SRT allows for students to determine and prioritize a portion of their time based on individual academic needs. During this time students can get help from a teacher, work on homework, or collaborate on a group project.

Freshmen are assigned to a teacher's room during one SRT a week for participation in our Covenant 101 course, a year-long introductory course that will help students transition into the demands of a college prep high school and set them up for success in the future. As a part of Covenant 101, freshmen will have regular built-in time to receive tutoring and work on homework.

Teacher Office Hours

Teacher office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3:15-4pm. During this time, teachers are available to students to provide additional instruction and/or assistance to students. Parent meetings during office hours are appointment only; contact the teacher by email to set an appointment.

Tutoring

  • Peer tutoring is available from the Senior Academic Leadership Team. If you are interested in tutoring, contact your teacher or Julie Ghooray and a tutor will be arranged. Your tutor will then contact you to set up a meeting time and place.
  • A list of paid tutors is available upon request.
  • Rose-Hulman Homework Help Hotline: 877-ASK-ROSE, http://askrose.org
This is a free math and science tutoring service for Indiana students in grades 6-12. Students can call the number above, email or chat live with a friendly tutor to work through and better understand homework assignments.

With questions, contact Julie Ghooray at julieghooray@covenantchristian.org.
