The purpose of the story or music or painting is to further the coming of the Kingdom; to make us aware of our status as children of God; and to turn our feet toward home.
There is only one main character in this grand story of life. All other stories point to Him. Some stories make us question things. Some make us laugh. Some make us cry. And some make us consider something bigger than ourselves.
Covenant Theatre exists to tell stories that are diverse in plot, characters, and setting . . . and each of them reveal Truth in ways we may not have thought before. From simple sketches in Theatre Club (see all clubs here) to elaborate scenes in our productions, students have the opportunity to develop their passion and skill and to learn to honor their Creator, the Storyteller, with their gifts.
Covenant Theatre traditionally alternates between a play and a musical each year. During the 2015-16 school year, we began presenting a fall play and a February musical, and we plan to continue with two productions each year. Our Fall Play, Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, is set for September 11-12, 2020, on The Commons Stage at Covenant. Our Winter Musical is The Secret Garden and will be presented on February 18-20, 2021, on The Commons Stage at Covenant.
During show season, tickets are available at covenantchristian.org.
