Covenant’s LMC participates in the Indianapolis Public Library Shared System. Partnering with IndyPL allows our staff and students access to many materials, databases, and resources that only a large city library can offer. This partnership gives our students and faculty the opportunity to thrive in their academic and personal growth goals.

Our LMC is open from 8am – 4pm each school day.

Indianapolis Public Library delivery days are Tuesday and Thursday of each school week. Watch announcement screens to pick up ordered materials.

Covenant’s LMC is closed during scheduled student breaks and holidays.

All new students will be given a free Indianapolis Public Library Card or have their existing IndyPL account updated. A completed Library Application Form must be signed by the student’s parent or guardian, and returned to the Library Media Center. New students will be instructed on IndyPL card usage in the 1st semester of the school year. Student accounts will expire after the student leaves Covenant.

How to Use your Indianapolis Library Card

  • Visit indypl.org and Search for your title, author or subject
  • Make a Request when you have completed your search
  • Your barcode number is located on the back of your library card
  • Create a username (follow the prompts)
  • The pin number is the last 4 digits of your barcode number
  • Book delivery days are Tuesdays and Thursdays (Look for your name on the Announcement TVs. Pick up your items in the Library Media Center.)

LIBRARY RESOURCES

LOANING AND CHARGING STATION

The LMC is supportive of Covenant’s Bring Your Own Device technology program. A custom secure station is located just inside the library doors for charging personal devices and checking out loaner devices during the school day. This station is only available 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday. All personal devices must be retrieved and loaner devices returned before 4pm each day. Do not take a loaner device home.

To borrow a loaner chromebook:

  1. Unlock the station sliding doors with your Student ID
  2. Select an available chromebook and note its number
  3. Using the tablet on top the station, complete the checkout form with your information
  4. Fully close the sliding doors and re-lock them with your Student ID

To charge your personal device:

  1. Unlock the station sliding doors with your Student ID
  2. Select a charger/charging adapter that fits your device (additional adapters in container on top)
  3. Fully close the sliding doors and re-lock them with your Student ID
  4. After sufficient time to charge, return to the station and repeat steps 1 & 3 to retrieve your device
